Vehicle Washing:
In order to expedite origin inspection, please present the
vehicle to Auto Transport Inc. in clean condition. This allows for
quick and fair inspection of your vehicle prior to shipment.
Keys & Keyless Entry Devices:
Auto Transport Inc. requires that all keys and keyless entry devices
be provided for your vehicle.
Fuel Level:
Fuel levels should be reduced to approximately 1/4 tank in all
tanks of your vehicle.
Alarms:
Alarms should be turned off. If there are special instructions
required to start a car to disarm an alarm, please let our Auto Transport
Inc.
and our carrier driver know. Auto Transport Inc. is not responsible
for drained batteries as a result of an alarm that has not been
turned off.
Luggage Racks & Bike Racks:
Non-permanent luggage, bike, or ski racks should be removed.
Weather:
Vehicles should be prepared for the new climate conditions. This
may include changing or adding engine coolant, transmission oil,
and other fluids. Auto Transport Inc. is not responsible for damage
caused as a result of Acts of Nature.
Windshield Damage:
If your vehicle glass has nicks, scratches, chips, or cracks, or
other conditions, Auto Transport Inc. will not be responsible for
damage caused by such pre-existing conditions.
Antennas:
Antennas should be lowered or removed. Temporary antennas such
as cell phone or CB radios should be removed.
Truck Caps & Canopies:
Truck Caps and Canopies on pickup trucks must be properly
secured to the box of the truck to ensure safe delivery.
Spoilers:
Spoilers, faring, air dams, or other low hanging items should be
removed, or sufficient clearance assured, to expedite loading on
the rail and truck ramps.
Cell Phones:
Cell phones and removable radios should be removed from the
vehicle.
Personal Effects:
All personal effects, and extra vehicle equipment including CD
changers, toolboxes, and accessories should be removed from your
vehicle (particularly critical for international transports).
Mechanical Problems:
All mechanical issues, ie. Failing brakes, starting problems,
low batteries, or other potentially dangerous or debilitating
conditions must be disclosed to Auto Transport Inc. and
your carrier driver.
